Requirements

• 10+ years of home inspection experience, which must be documented.
• A current home inspector license in your home state (where that state licenses inspectors), and you follow each state's licensing law for any site work you do there.

Membership in ASHI or InterNACHI is not a license.

How listing review works

1. State license history check.
2. Discipline and complaint check.
3. Documentation of 10+ years of home inspection experience.
4. Sample reports reviewed by Shaun.
5. Professional references (attorney or client)
6. Prior testimony disclosed.

No one is listed until Shaun Atkinson confirms the review steps above are complete. That confirmation is not an endorsement.

Listing fee

Flat monthly listing fee. We take no share of expert fees and no payment tied to hires or results.

$79/month.

The listing fee is flat and isn't tied to any case or outcome. The directory takes no share of any listed expert's fees and has no stake in any case's outcome.

Submitting an application does not mean you will be listed. If your application is accepted, a listing agreement will follow.

Home Inspection Expert Witness is run by Shaun Atkinson, Ohio licensed home inspector OHI.2019006734. It currently lists one expert. It is a directory, not a law firm, expert-placement agency, or referral service. Listed inspectors are independent professionals, not employees or agents of the directory or its operator. We don't endorse or recommend any listed inspector, and we make no promise about any opinion or case outcome. Attorneys and parties choose, contract with, and pay experts directly. The directory isn't a party to those engagements and takes no share of any expert's fees. When Shaun Atkinson is retained as an expert, he is paid under his own engagement agreement, like any listed expert, and never on a contingent basis. Listed inspectors pay a flat monthly fee to appear here, and that fee doesn't depend on whether they are hired or how a case turns out. Shaun Atkinson is also a listed inspector.
